William Blackbird

Graveside Service for William “Dictee” Blackbird, 87, of Marble City, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2020 at McCoy Evening Shade Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 11, 1933 in Evening Shade in Vian, Oklahoma to Mary (Lincoln) Blackbird and Blackbird Blackbird and passed away on April 1, 2020 in Marble City, Oklahoma. He was an egg gatherer for the community of Marble City, Oklahoma and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are:

Harriet Pettit and Family;

The Barnoski Family;

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Dick Blackbird and Junior Blackbird.

Active Pallbearers will be Christopher Bunch, William Lopez, Charley Elk, Dwight Catron, Jericho Pettit, Steven Locust and Drake Watkins.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 4 PM Friday and 10 AM – 4 PM Saturday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
