William Rogers, Jr.

Funeral Service for William “Bill” Rogers, Jr., 67, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 14, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Zelphia Juanita (Spence) Rogers and William Hershall Rogers and passed away on January 9, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Debra Jean (Bethel) Rogers on May 19, 1972 in Roland, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2008. Bill was a retired coach and educator for Muldrow Public Schools after 30 years and was currently a professor at Carl Albert State College. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

1 son and daughter-in-law: Tres Rogers and Melynda of Roland, OK;

2 daughters: Raquel Rogers of Muldrow, OK and Bridget Carlile and Chris of Arkoma, OK;

6 grandchildren: Micaela Rogers of Norman, OK, Marissa Rogers of Ft. Smith, AR, Liam Rogers of Roland, OK, Sommer Carlile of Arkoma, OK, Tyler Carlile of Arkoma, OK and Zayne Carlile of Arkoma, OK;

2 sisters: Brenda Jetton and Fred of Coweta, OK and Karen Rice of Van Buren, AR;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra; and his parents.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK.
