A funeral service for William “Ken” Stavely, 62 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Ken was born on January 25, 1957 in Muskogee, OK to Pauline Burris Stavely and William Sewell Stavely and passed away on November 29, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He moved to Sallisaw at a very young age and graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1975.
Ken was an insurance agent and began his career in Tulsa, OK, then moved his young family and business to his home town of Sallisaw to be closer to his mother and father. Upon his move to Sallisaw, Ken became very involved in the local community and had the distinction of being the only male parent to actively participate in the Eastside Elementary PTA when his daughters were young.
Ken wore many hats. He was generous, strong, thoughtful, stubborn, but most of all he had a huge heart. If you needed something, he would do whatever was necessary to make that happen. This is evident through the countless stories and memories we all have. For example, Ken donated coffee to the nutrition center in Sallisaw, because he felt it was necessary for everyone to enjoy a decent cup of coffee. He consistently contributed to any area sports’ team, regardless of the level. Most of all, Ken enjoyed time with his daughters, family and friends. He will be remembered as an amazing father that would do anything to support his daughters. Super dad, we will always love and adore you and you will be missed more than you’ll ever know.
