Funeral service for Wilma Bonita Edwards, 98 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on March 2, 1921 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Pearl May (Ruckman) Harvell and Horace Adolphus Harvell and went home on December 26, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Paul Edwards on June 24, 1939 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Over 76 years of committed marriage brought her the things she was most proud of. Mrs. Edwards was the general manager and coordinator of the Edwards family with duties including tending cattle and raising a garden to provide for her family. She was a strong and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and will be missed by all.
She was a founding and active member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow and loved to work in her flowers and garden.
Survivors are:
1 daughter and son in law: Bonita Webb and Rex of Tulsa, OK;
1 son and daughter in law: Darrell Edwards and Kathy of Coweta, OK;
7 grandchildren and spouses: Cindy Powell, Sere and Pat Allen, Renee and Scott Parsons, Chris Edwards, Britt Edwards, Misty Kerr and Mike Buelow, Carrie and Joe Dan Drennan;
8 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren;
1 sister: Ethylee Farmer of Muldrow, OK;
1 brother: Kenneth Dale Harvell of Muldrow, OK;
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years: Paul Edwards, 1 son: Herman Edwards, 1 grandson: Michael Edwards and 1 granddaughter: Melissa Edwards, her parents: Horace and Pearl Harvell, 2 sisters: Juanell Edwards and Charlene Howard, and 1 brother: Bee Harvell.
Active Pallbearers will be Scott Harvell, Lance Harvell, Grayson Harvell, Kenneth Edwards, Shane Spears and Britt Edwards.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Edwards, Dale Harvell, Mike Howard and Kenneth Edwards.
Viewing will be Noon – 8 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm Sunday.
