Winter Dee Free

Winter Dee Free, age 90, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on January 30, 2025, in Inola, Oklahoma. He was born on January 21, 1935, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Mary (Lasiter) Free and Clarence Otho Free.

Winter was united in marriage to Jackie Nell (Lott) Free on September 2, 1955, in Dallas, Texas. Jackie preceded him in death on January 26, 1992. Winter found joy in many pursuits; he loved fishing, singing, and playing the guitar, and he had a knack for buying and selling cars and guitars, embodying the spirit of wheeling and dealing. His deep faith was a guiding force in his life, and he took pride in his Pentecostal beliefs.

He is survived by his two sons, Eddie Free and Carol of Inola, OK, and Lonnie Free of Muldrow, OK; two grandsons, Nathan Free and Julie of Inola, OK, and JD Free and Sarah, also of Inola, OK; two great-grandchildren, Abby and John Free; one sister, Anetia Keith and Jack of Roland, OK; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Jackie; six sisters, Geneva Dickey, Margie Dunn, Grace Branham, Dorothy Jean Nichols, Martha Branham, and Reba Jane; and two brothers, Sonny Free and Buddy Free.

A graveside service for Winter Dee Free will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Viewing will be available at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK, from 2 PM to 8 PM on Monday, where the family will greet visitors from 4 PM to 6 PM.
