Yvonne Ross

Memorial Service for Yvonne Ross, 89 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Faith Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 6, 1935 in Catoosa, Oklahoma to Bertie Melinda (Hewett) Hall and Carrel Milton Hall and was promoted to Heaven on September 29, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Danny Ross on September 11, 2004 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In her younger years, Yvonne belonged to a car club and went on Poker Rallies in her early 60’s model Corvair. Later, she participated in parking lot races in her Grabber Orange Mach 1 Mustang. She loved flowers and decorated her flower gardens with driftwood and unique rocks. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, birdwatching and fishing. She loved her family dearly, was fun to be with, had a great smile and loved to laugh. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with various job titles including secretary, frane, and assignment. Although in recent years they were no longer able to attend, Yvonne and Danny Ross considered Faith Assembly of God their home church. 

Survivors are husband, Danny of the home; one daughter, Sondia Blackwell of Locust Grove, OK; one step-daughter, Debbie Prothro of Perkins, OK; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Culley of Owasso, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Vester Odell Hall, Velma Hagaman, Chester Hall, Carrel Elton Hall, Preshia Jane Hullet, Theresa Mae Baker, Bobbie Jean Cessna, and Betty Ann Etheredge; and two step children, Kim Passmore and David Ross.
